Dr. Larson-Keagy is an active member of ASU's Project on Peace Studies, sponsored by the Center for Religion and Conflict. She is also affiliated with the Arizona Humanities Council (AHC) as a long-time member of the Speakers Bureau, and edits AHC's newsletter, Arizona Insight.

Outreach and Service:

Dr. Larson-Keagy works regularly with the Arizona Geographic Alliance for their two annual conferences, GeoFest and GeoDayTrip. Also, she recently became the faculty advisor for a newly formed student group, Global Outreach at ASU, which focuses on fund-raising for educational and health projects in developing world countrise.

She also gives a number of talks annually statewide as part of the Arizona Humanities Council Speakers Bureau on topics such as Arizona's Changing Demography; the Cultural Geography of Afghanistan; Southwest Asia; and more.

In 2007, Dr. Larson-Keagy also facilitated an eight-month discussion program Literature and Medicine, sponsored by AHC, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, and she is also a speaker for another AHC-sponsored program, Project Civil Discourse.
