ESRI selects Cory Whittaker's maps for its annual Map Book

photo of Corey WhittakerThe ESRI Map Book each year showcases a small selection from the Map Gallery exhibition at ESRI's annual International User Conference. This year's edition features the work of Cory Whittaker, a 2005 graduate of the MAS-GIS program, and currently a GIS Specialist in the Information Technology Department within the Enterprise GIS workgroup.

As Cory explains,

My work here at the City of Mesa is to provide GIS support to any City Department that has need of it. That could entail something as simple as a location map of a zoning case all the way to 3D flight path analysis at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. One day could be sites for future economic development and the next day a custom map for the Mayor. This has been an excellent opportunity to learn and implement GIS technology that is essential to the function of a major city.

All of this is thanks to the MAS-GIS program at ASU!!
