Professor Emily Talen speaks on urban design and diversity
On Nov. 8, she was a panelist at a symposium on "Arrested Development: Do Megaprojects have a Future? ," organized by the Institute for Urban Design, at Cooper Union, New York, NY.
On Oct 7-9, she participated in the Mayor's Institute on City Design at the School of Architecture, Northeastern University, Boston, MA. This is a National Endowment for the Arts leadership initiative in partnership with the American Architectural Foundation and the United States Conference of Mayors. Since 1986, the Mayor's Institute has helped transform communities through design by preparing mayors to be the chief urban designers of their cities.
