Directions Magazine interviews Torrens on Process Models and Dynamic GIS

Directions Magazine, an online publication focused on geospatial technology, this week published a two-part interview with Associate Professor Paul Torrens, conducted by the magazine's editor in chief.
In the interview, Torrens shares his vision of key areas for GIS development. Torrens describes a GIS that better incorporates dynamic data, and can model processes rather than static patterns. He also discusses developments in web searches that involve spatial queries, and applications of these new GIS directions in business, emergency response and other realms.
