FAQs: Graduate Admission

Can I apply to a PhD program if I do not already have a master’s degree?

You must have a masters’ degree to apply to the Urban Planning PhD program. However, we offer a streamlined Geography Ph.D. program for students with bachelors degrees only. We encourage all prospective research students to apply for admission to the Ph.D. degree program. Funding favors Ph.D. students.
