The undergraduate geographic information science certificate program is open to all students at ASU and is built on GIS course work taught at the university. Students who earn the certificate are prepared to begin a career in the world of GIS.
Please note that any candidate to the certificate program must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student in any college at ASU.
The certificate is awarded to students completing at least 23 credit hours with a grade of "C" (2.00) or higher. At least 12 of the 23 credit hours must be upper-division courses.

The GIS Certificate complements other degrees, preparing graduates to be skilled users of GIS, able to apply their skillsto careers in the area of their major.
