Geospatial technologies such as GIS, GPS, drones and satellite data are currently used in almost every professional field. Whether you use geospatial technologies in your current work/research or want to learn more about how they are used by researchers and professionals in a variety of fields, this event is for you. 

Students:

Do you plan on getting a job in the next year or two? Meet the geospatial professionals that might hire you. You can talk to professionals from a variety of organizations learn about the qualifications they desire in a new employee. 

Are you at the start of your studies?  Learn how different fields are using a variety of geospatial technologies and can use that information to better build their program of study. 

Research partnering opportunities:  The Geospatial Research and Career Fest is a great opportunity to talk to possible partners and geospatial data providers from outside of the university. 

Career opportunities: This is the perfect opportunity to start the networking that is so important to your future. Some professionals will be recruiting for current internship or employment opportunities, so bring copies of your resume to give to practitioners if you so choose.

Over 50 organizations from city, county, state and federal government as well as the private sector, utility, military installation and tribal groups will be represented at this event, all of whom are avid users of geospatial technologies and your future employers/partners.
