SGSUP at ASU's Open Door

open door activities

This campus-wide open house celebrates the sciences, engineering, humanities and the arts with activities for teenagers, children, parents, teachers, alumni, entrepreneurs and the just-plain-curious.

Visit our school’s activities on the east patio of Coor Hall: See yourself in infrared and learn how infrared technology helps us understand how to stay cool in urban settings – perform simple hands-on experiments to see how tornadoes and other extreme weather happen – or build your urban vision out of Leggos!

For more geo-fun, be sure to visit Noble Library.  Take your favorite kid or kid at heart to explore a giant map of Arizona -- a map designed here at ASU, and available for the first time this year!  (Thanks, Arizona Geographic Alliance!)  This is also your chance to check out the library's Map and Geospatial Hub -- sculpt your own land forms in the augmented reality GeoSandbox; watch a digital geographical model be brought to life with 3D printing technology, and don’t leave without making your own custom map button!

Open to the public -- Free admission -- Free event parking.

To learn more about the 100+ offerings by other units on campus, and for maps and parking information, take a look at http://opendoor.asu.edu/!
