Matthew Larsen - Director, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute

Matthew Larsen earned a bachelor's degree in geology from Antioch College and PhD in geography at the University of Colorado in Boulder. From 2010 to 2014, Larsen served the U.S. Geological Survey as the Associate Director for Climate and Land-Use Change. Larsen has 80+ publications in the fields of natural hazards, water resources, climate change, and marine geology.

In this talk, Larsen will discuss his research on ecosystem services in Panama.
